The Harris Gardens Team
William Harris is an entrepreneurial gardener, who set up Harris Gardens in 2015. Living in Tunbridge Wells, Will prides himself on attention to detail, customer service and going above and beyond the call of duty. Will loves working in beautiful, established gardens, but he also enjoys taking a ‘blank canvas’ and making suggestions for plants and shrubs that will best work in particular areas of the garden. He can turn his hand to most things and if its a job that Harris Gardens cannot do, he will often know someone who can.

Jo is our Operations Manager. She has been working with Will at Harris Gardens since early 2018 following a career in Marketing. Jo ensures our gardeners know where they are supposed to be, with the right tools and our customers know to expect them. She loves nothing more than researching weird & wonderful shrubs and flowering plants for our customers and, as a born organiser, her mission is to keep the Harris Gardens ship steady so we have happy customers who get to enjoy their gardens.
Dan is our Head of of Gardening Services. With a degree in ecology, he is very interested in plant and soil structure and is currently looking at how we can make our own compost. Dan is working his way through his RHS Level 3 diploma. He has great vision and creativity and loves being given a blank canvas in which to plant an array of sometimes unusual specimens.
Mark is a Lead Gardener. He has been working at Harris Gardens since 2017, having made a career change from being a chef. Mark loves his regular customers and he enjoys taking ownership of a garden and seeing it flourish throughout the year. Mark’s own garden is his favourite though and it is the envy of all at Harris Gardens. His plant knowledge, while self-taught, is among the best in our team.
Ian is a Lead Gardener, who has joined Harris Gardens recently, after 12 years as a Senior Gardener at Hever Castle. While there, he won the ‘Britain in Bloom’ Horticultural Achievement Award for the South and Southeast and was also selected to work on Silver and Silver Gilt show gardens at both Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower shows. Ian trained at Hadlow and there is not much he doesn’t know about plants.
Nick is a Gardener. He joined Harris Gardens back in 2017 and has the honour of being our longest-standing employee. Hadlow-trained, Nick completed his RHS Level 3 and he continues to build on his horticultural knowledge every day. When it comes to pruning and shaping, Nick is our
